Some places just make you want to slow down. Champdray, a small village nestled on a plateau in the High Vosges,is one of them. It is here, among the trunks of century-old ash trees, giant firs, and majestic beeches, that Coucoo Cabanes is opening its new site: the Cabanes Nids des Vosges.
This is a first for our collection: after lowland forests and riverbanks, Coucoo Cabanes is reaching new heights and settling into the heart of the Vosges mountains, between Alsace and Lorraine. Nestled at an altitude of 700 meters, this site is the result of meticulous work by its founders. It is an adventure we are taking over with the same commitment to this region, its biodiversity, and the people who brought it to life.
A forest that accompanies every moment of your stay
In Champdray, the forest is more than just a backdrop. It sets the pace for your stay from the first day to the last. Wake up facing the treesin the silence of the morning. A sweet breakfast, delivered to the foot of your cabin, is hoisted up to the terrace with a rope—a ritual that sets the tone from the very first hours. Evenings are spent watching the light fade between the branches.
Around the site, marked hiking trails invite you to set off on foot to explore the mountains. Gérardmer Lake,just 20 minutes away, completes the experience with its water activities and panoramic views of the Vosges ridges.
14 cabins, one shared love for the treetops
The estate features 14 treehouses designed for every type of getaway, plus a Forest Villa & Spa for groups.
The Cosy cabins are perfect for couples or families of up to five, featuring a functional kitchen and a panoramic terrace overlooking the forest.
The Deluxe cabins, which sleep up to seven, take the wellness experience further: the Bien-Hêtre cabin features a panoramic treehouse sauna, while the others offer a heated Nordic bath on their terrace, perfect for ending the day under the stars.
The Forest Villa & Spa, which can be fully privatized, brings together three independent cabins around a panoramic lounge and a private wellness area (spa, steam room, treehouse sauna, and heated Nordic bath). Accommodating eight to fifteen guests, it is ideal for everything from birthdays to family reunions.

Reconnect with the forest through the rhythm of forest bathing
At Les Cabanes Nids des Vosges, disconnecting isn't about filling your schedule, but about finding a gentler pace. Forest bathing invites you to slow down and observe, while massages can be enjoyed right in your cabin. The estate also offers private sauna sessions in a renovated traditional Vosges farmhouse.
As for dining, Gourmet baskets, our appetizer selection, and our dinners are inspired by the Vosges region, bringing local flavor straight to your plate.

The Vosges mountains have something for everyone, no matter the time of year. In summer, the cool forest and lakes invite you to slow down. In autumn, the ridges are dressed in vibrant colors. Winter turns the estate into a mountain retreat, just a stone's throw from the ski slopes. And in spring, the entire forest comes back to life.
Extend your getaway along the Alsace Wine Route, at the Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, or by visiting Alsatian villages and Christmas markets during the colder months.
