By accepting these general terms and conditions of sale, I understand that my stay takes place in the heart of nature, with the inherent risks it may present: variable weather, presence of insects, birds, and mammals near the cabins, and the possibility of encountering them indoors as well.

Your stay will take place in the heart of the Cabanes Nids des Vosges estate. During your movements and walks, we ask you to respect the tranquility of the site. Upon your arrival, we will provide you with an access and pedestrian circulation map of the estate. Thank you in advance for your understanding!

During your stay, we ask you to respect all safety instructions as explained by our reception team.

I – Cabin Stays

1. Booking

For reservations made less than 15 days before the arrival date, immediate payment will be required by credit card or bank transfer, with proof of payment.

a) Payment by credit card

For reservations made through our online booking system with secure credit card payment, the full amount of the stay will be debited, and your reservation will be confirmed.

b) Payment by other means

For payments by cheque, holiday vouchers, or bank transfer, the booking is held for 15 days. Receipt of payment within this period will confirm the booking. Please note: your booking option may be cancelled in case of late payment for the stay, as the option period is set at 15 days.

ANCV Holiday Vouchers (paper and digital). Please note, we cannot refund holiday vouchers for legal reasons. However, if our general terms and conditions of sale allow, we may be able to reschedule your stay for another date.

Gift voucher or gift certificate.

4. Modification or Cancellation of Your Booking

For any modification or cancellation, a written request by email will be systematically required. Your booking reference number must be included in the email subject line.

a) Cancellation before your stay, by you

In the event of serious illness, serious accident, or death of a registered occupant, the stay will be fully refunded upon presentation of a medical certificate or death certificate.

In the event of serious illness, serious accident, or death of a family member not staying in the cabin, the stay will be postponed free of charge within 12 months following the cancellation, upon presentation of a medical certificate or death certificate only. No refund can be requested.

In both cases, the medical certificate must be sent to us by email no later than 3 days after the original arrival date of the stay, and the death certificate no later than 7 days after the original arrival date of the stay. Where possible, we ask you to notify us of your cancellation as soon as possible.

For any cancelled stay not falling under the cancellation clauses mentioned above, the following conditions apply:

– More than 30 days before the stay, no fees will be charged. 100% refund.

– Between 30 and 15 days before the stay, 30% of the accommodation cost (excluding services) will be retained.

– Between 15 and 8 days before the stay, 50% of the accommodation cost (excluding services) will be retained.

– For any stay cancelled within 7 days prior to the arrival date, or any interrupted or unconsumed stay, the full amount of the reserved stay will be due or retained by Cabanes Nids des Vosges.

b) Modification before your stay, by you

More than 15 days before your stay, modifications can be made free of charge for the same rate period, subject to availability. For any postponement to a different rate period, the price difference must be paid.  

Less than 15 days before your stay, the date of the stay cannot be modified.

A single reservation cannot be rescheduled more than twice, while adhering to the conditions mentioned above. A rescheduled reservation cannot be cancelled; otherwise, the cancellation conditions related to the original reservation will apply.

c) Modification or cancellation of stay by Les Cabanes Nids des Vosges BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL

In the event of an Orange weather alert, with announced external events beyond our control, such as severe weather, storms, or thunderstorms, management reserves the right to cancel your stay for safety reasons. In this situation, we will offer to postpone your cabin stay to a later date within the next 12 months. If you have already departed from your home, we will offer to rehouse you in other types of accommodation without extra charge. In this specific case only, you will receive a 50% discount on a future equivalent cabin stay within the next 12 months.

If none of these offers are suitable, the full amount paid will be refunded to you; no other compensation can be claimed.

If your reservation is made using a gift voucher, the general terms and conditions of sale for gift vouchers apply.

d) Modification or cancellation of stay by Les Cabanes Nids des Vosges DURING YOUR STAY

In the event of an Orange weather alert, with announced external events beyond our control, such as severe weather, storms, or thunderstorms, management reserves the right to cancel your night in the cabin for safety reasons. Alternative accommodation in other types of lodging will be offered to you, subject to availability and without extra charge. In this specific case only, you will receive a 50% discount on a future equivalent cabin stay within the next 12 months. No other compensation can be claimed. Only if we do not have an alternative accommodation solution available, will the full amount paid be refunded to you or a postponement of your date will be offered, within the next 12 months.

e) Modification or cancellation of stay by you DURING YOUR STAY

Should you refuse to access your cabin (due to fear, vertigo, etc.), no compensation can be claimed.

5. Deposit

Please note that due to a significant number of thefts in the cabins in recent seasons, we have implemented a deposit system. Upon your arrival, a credit card pre-authorization of €150 will be required.
This pre-authorization does not result in any immediate debit from your account and will be automatically cancelled at the end of your stay, unless there is damage or unpaid charges.

However, we reserve the right to collect all or part of this deposit in the following cases:

  • discovery of damage or breakage in the accommodation,
  • missing items or furniture,
  • services consumed on-site and not paid for at the time of departure.

If the deposit is collected, the amount charged will cover:

  • or the actual cost of repair or replacement, upon presentation of supporting documents (invoices, photos),
  • either the exact amount of unpaid services.

The credit card pre-authorization is valid for the duration set by our payment provider (generally 7 to 30 days). If damage or an unpaid amount is noted after this period expires, we will contact you to obtain your agreement for payment.

Please note that some items in the cabins are available for purchase in our reception shop if you wish to take home a souvenir of your stay, and for those not for sale, we will be happy to tell you where you can purchase them, when possible. Thank you for your understanding.

6. Capacity

The number of people mentioned (including children) per cabin in our rates corresponds to the maximum occupancy allowed, considering the available equipment. This cannot be exceeded for safety and insurance reasons. If the authorized number of people for the chosen accommodation is exceeded, access may be denied.

7. Rates

Our prices are inclusive of all taxes. Only the prices listed on our website are valid. These prices vary by season. A tourist tax may be added to this price.

8. Children

Children's ages are calculated based on their birth date and the start date of the stay. An official document proving children's ages may be requested at the start of the stay. Family cabins can accommodate all children with no minimum age. Duo cabins accept children aged 12 and over.

9. Special Conditions

Access to ladder-access cabins is not recommended for pregnant women. Access to all cabins is prohibited for individuals prone to vertigo, sleepwalking, or those with uncorrected heart or vision problems.

10. Pets

Cabins with stair access can now accommodate one dog for an additional €25 per night, payable on site. The service includes treats upon arrival and, upon request: waste bags, and loan of bowls and a basket. In case of damage during the stay, additional fees may be deducted from the security deposit. Other animals are not permitted in the cabins or on the property.

11. Valuables

It is recommended not to leave valuables in the cabins. Management cannot be held responsible for theft during your stay.

12. Alcohol and Cigarette Consumption

It is strictly forbidden to be intoxicated in the cabins or on the property. Smoking is prohibited inside the cabins. All our cabins are equipped with terraces where smoking is permitted, provided no cigarette butts are discarded in nature.

13. Massage Services

For our massage services, we work with external massage therapists not employed by our establishment. It is therefore mandatory to pay at least 50% of these services upon booking to confirm your massage and your therapist. In case of cancellation less than 48 hours before your stay, we will retain 50% of the massage service fee.

14. External Service Providers

It is not permitted to involve an external service provider in your cabin or on the estate (photographer, decorator, event agency, etc.) without authorization from the Cabanes Nids des Vosges team. If you require an external service provider, you can contact us at reservation@cabanesnidsdesvosges.com and we can review your request together.

15. Complaints

Any complaint regarding a stay must be sent by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt within 30 days following the stay to the following address:

16. Dispute

In the event of a dispute, either the jurisdiction of your place of residence at the time of signing the contract or the jurisdiction of the Saint Die des Vosges Court is recognized.

II – Gift Vouchers

1. Purchasing a gift voucher

a) Gift voucher validity

Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years. Even in the event of a price increase, no additional payment will be requested from the recipient within 3 years following the purchase of the gift voucher.

They can be used every day from the opening of the estate at Cabanes Nids des Vosges or at one of the other Coucoo Cabanes estates. As our cabins are very popular on weekends, we advise you to inform the gift voucher recipient to book their cabin between 6 months and 1 year before their stay date.

b) Withdrawal

A 14-day period following the order date of your gift voucher is granted, regardless of the payment method, only if the gift voucher has not already been used to book a stay. After these 14 days, no refund will be possible.

2. Booking with a gift voucher

Our gift vouchers are valid for 3 years. Even in the event of a price increase, no additional payment will be requested from you within 3 years following the purchase of your gift voucher.

They can be used every day from the opening of the estate at Cabanes Nids des Vosges or at one of the other Coucoo Cabanes estates. If used at an estate other than Cabanes Nids des Vosges, a price difference may apply. This is because prices vary from one estate to another for the same cabin category.

a) Cancellation before your stay:

Our gift vouchers can neither be cancelled nor refunded. However, you have the option to change the date of your stay according to the terms described below.

b) Modification before your stay:

The same conditions as for a standard reservation apply, provided that you respect the validity date of your gift voucher (see II – 1.a).

c) Modification or cancellation of stay by Les Cabanes Nids des Vosges BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL

The same conditions as for a standard reservation apply (excluding refunds), provided that you respect the validity date of your gift voucher (see II – 1.a).

d) Modification or cancellation of stay by Les Cabanes Nids des Vosges ON-SITE

The same conditions as for a standard reservation apply (excluding refunds), provided that you respect the validity date of your gift voucher (see II – 1.a).

e) Modification or cancellation of stay by you ON-SITE

The same conditions as for a standard reservation apply, provided that you respect the validity date of your gift voucher (see II – 1.a).

3. Purchasing and Booking with a Gift Voucher

Gift vouchers are subject to the same terms and conditions of sale and use as standard gift vouchers. They are valid for 3 years and can be redeemed at all Coucoo Cabanes locations, but are neither cancellable nor refundable after the 14-day cooling-off period.

Depending on the amount of your gift voucher, it will partially or fully cover the price of your stay. If there is an outstanding balance, you can use several payment methods (credit card, bank transfer, check, holiday vouchers), just like for a standard reservation or gift voucher order.
